New Paradigm Business
Crimson here!
Have you noticed that what used to work in your business is no longer working? And what once felt so certain no longer is? Are you feeling like the vision and desires you once held around your work no longer resonates?
If so, you’re not alone. Welcome to the new paradigm! Though it may feel a bit rocky at the moment, we are at a threshold of new liberated beginnings, and for those bold enough to walk through the portal, new levels of success await.
We're in the Midst of a Cosmic Reset
Cycle analysts across the board have been naming this moment in time as a major new beginning. In Human Design, we are entering a new 412 cycle called The Cross of the Sleeping Phoenix. In the Strauss–Howe generational theory we are entering a new 80-ish year cycle called The Fourth Turning. In numerology we just started a new 9 year cycle. And in my preferred modality, astrology, we’re in a midst of a cosmic reset where all three outer generational planets almost simultaneously shifted from water/earth elements into fire/air elements, conjuncting and angling in ways that are inescapably felt here on Earth:
The political chaos. The social upheaval. The economic turnings. The AI infiltration.
When you can look at those from the perspective of a paradigm shift, we realize not only are they unavoidable, but they are actually serving as catalysts for awakening!
The Old Business Paradigm Is Crumbling
So bringing it back to business, let’s talk about where we’ve been. I’m going to define this past paradigm as linear, hierarchical, and decidedly “bro”. Lots of top down leadership, stripping away identity for compliance, prioritizing efficiency to the point of sterilization, and the glorification of MORE: more work, more hustle, more money, and more endless expectation of limitless upward growth.
My body is tense just thinking about it!
But the cracks are showing in the foundations of these systems. And eventually, they will crumble.
The Shifts I See Coming in the New Business Paradigm
So where will that leave us? This is where I get excited, because I see so much potential for those willing to challenge these old, dying structures.
Here are some of the shifts I’m expecting in the new business paradigm:
Individualized identity over faceless cogs in the machine: whereas in the past we were required to “cover the tattoos” and posture a monolithic version of professionalism, in the age of AI, we now crave, and trust, discernable humanity.
An increase of micro business and solopreneurship: speaking of AI, the rise of the robots, technology, and the world wide web has removed barriers and friction to owning and distributing our work, and therefore our reliance on pyramid-style institutions is diminishing.
Horizontal over vertical collaboration: in the place of this top-down, hierarchical authority, we’re going to be uniting and networking across the aisle, peer-to-peer.
Authentic alignment as strategy: owning our uniqueness will become our competitive advantage, and being able to build a body of work that is a reflection of our values, voice, and vision is what’s going to make our businesses magnetic.
Intuitive agility over logical planning: the world is quickly changing which makes predictability impossible, so those who can trust their instinct and pivot by feeling the energetic shifts will have yet another competitive advantage.
Intimacy over efficiency: though we may value the convenience of frictionless pay and faceless interactions, they’ve become cheap commodities; people are now going to see value—and invest their time in money—in humans who can provide relational depth, felt human connection, and sensual experiencing.
Depth over scale: this rise of intimacy will coincide with the fall of superficial audiences and influencers; instead of needing huge follower counts and email lists, we can thrive with a smaller, refined community of core clients.
Redefined wealth: it’s no longer just going to be about the numbers in the bank account, it’s going to be about leading a fully and holistically rich life.
Cyclical spirals of growth: so much of the old paradigm expectations were built upon unnatural demands like limitless linear growth to appease stakeholders, but in the new paradigm, we will be able to honor the cycles of seasonal ebbs and flow, resulting in an upward spiral versus direct arrow.
Building a Business on Our Own Terms
How is that landing? I don’t know about you, but I’m feeling way less tense!
I truly believe that for so many types of businesses—those rooted in creativity, embodiment, personalized service, and soul-aligned purpose—that we are approaching an opportunity of a lifetime. We no longer have to play into the world we inherited, we can build new ones. On our own terms.
But this can feel unfamiliar AF after the necessary performance and posturing required to survive the old paradigm! So if you’d like to unite with a community that is choosing to be turned-on by their work by alchemizing self-knowledge into strategy and embodiment into results, join us in the EROS Collective where we are Evoking the Richness of Self!
